regenerative therapy. The therapy is useful to engineer new tissues and also the organ. Hence, the same remains effective for the hair growth too. Whereas alopecia is concerned,
stem cell therapy can prove to be potential for alopecia too. Although being cultivated from different sources, the most effective for the
hair treatment is adipose tissues. The adipose tissue-derived stem cell is not only multipotent cells, they are appropriate for triggering growth factors for tissue regeneration as they can proliferate into mesenchymal lineage cells.

Hence, these cells can add to growth factors to the scalps to generate new hair. A study carried out by the scientists at Kyorin University, Tokyo, Japan way back in 2015 proved that adipose-derived stem cells were active in facilitating the hair regeneration affected by alopecia.
Methods Of The Study
The study used a technique of Trichograms to evaluate the growth of the exact number of hair strands on the scalps so as to determine the level of efficacy of adipose-derived stem cells under a medium condition.
The study followed the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki to maintain standard and safe medical practices by the surgeons and medical practitioners. The first participated patients with alopecia were divided into two groups consisting of eleven female and eleven male participants with age ranging from 20-70 years. Another group with 20 participants, consisting of 8 men and 2 women was observed using a half-side comparison study.
The adipose-derived stem cells-conditioned medium was used under the technology of Trichogramma after and before the procedure for the first group.
Treatment
A commercial hair product, namely AAPE Prostemics was used to identify the effective functions of the adipose-derived stem cells. It contained protein solutions from adipose-derived stem cells and different growth factors or cytokines, including fibroblast growth factor-1, hepatocyte growth factor, vascular endothelial growth factor and many to name a few. The total session was divided into six and 3-4ml of the solution was used during each session, followed by the administration of finasteride to six male patients only.

Results
As per the Trichograms, the number of hair strands was increased for both the groups. And finasteride did not factor in for the
growth of hair. The same positive result was observed in the half-side comparison study.
Hence, we can reach a solution for female patients with alopecia that they can benefit from the hair treatment with adipose-derived stem cells. Since they are highly effective, this new hair treatment scope is representing a new aspect of hair regeneration therapy, irrespective of the gender differences.
